Car inspection changes in Belarus
New rules for obtaining permission online
Changes have been introduced in Belarus regarding vehicle technical inspection rules. Diagnostic stations have been abolished as mandatory locations for issuing permits; now vehicle owners can obtain them electronically via the unified electronic services portal 'E-Usługa'. The document confirming technical inspection is not requested by Gosavtoinspektsiya during checks, its validity being confirmed through information databases. Additionally, the requirement to provide proof of payment for the administrative procedure has been declared obsolete, although the permit is issued only after payment of the service.
These measures are intended to speed up the permit acquisition process and reduce paperwork, aligning new permit issuance standards with digital services.
The design of the vehicle inspection permit has been changed: diagnostic stations are outdated, permits are now issued online, and verification is done through databases. Payment is still mandatory.
