KGB eliminated foreign intelligence network

Yesterday, the head of the State Security Committee of Minsk, Ivan Tertel, stated that as part of counterintelligence operations, a network of foreign intelligence services conducting surveillance on civilian and military pilots had been dismantled. According to the KGB chief, "Large-scale counterintelligence work has allowed us to eliminate these threats." He noted that "There is serious intensification of intelligence and subversive activities against Belarus," and that "Western countries' satellite systems, intelligence services, and armed forces monitor the situation on our territory, take photographs and videos almost daily." Tertel added that "radio-technical and radio-electronic reconnaissance is being conducted very actively. Practically, we are under an electronic dome," and that "The President of Belarus keeps his finger on the pulse and sets corresponding tasks for the State Security Committee." Regarding efforts to prevent terrorist attacks, he stated that "measures are being taken to prevent terrorist acts and transit terrorism through our territory, and such attempts are being thwarted." The KGB head also pointed to the degradation of international law, referring to actions by London and Vilnius against Minsk, where illegal sanctions were imposed against our country.
