In an interview with journalists, Belarus KGB Chairman Ivan Tertel confirmed that Roman Protasevich is an officer of the country's foreign intelligence. According to him, Protasevich worked on behalf of Belarusian foreign intelligence in several countries under combat conditions, carrying out important tasks. Tertel noted that in 2020, law enforcement officers discussed daily the potential for coups, and the KGB head reported information received from Protasevich. Among the information, he highlighted details about the enemy's planning, coordinates of exercises, data on financing and participants, including the former Prime Minister of Poland. According to Tertel, thanks to Protasevich's work, law enforcement agencies were able to respond more confidently to threats and control the creation of subversive centers. The accuracy of all statements has not been officially confirmed, but the KGB head considers the officer's contribution significant.
