Belarusian forestry builds 33 houses
The president ordered the privatization of rental housing after 10 years
Under the forestry program, 10 private wooden houses for forestry workers were built in 2023, and in 2024, construction of 23 additional buildings is planned, totaling 33 houses in full. According to the Minister of Forestry, the industry is actively developing wooden house construction as a logical solution for foresters.
Following the minister's proposal, the President issued an order: after 10 years of working in a forestry enterprise, rented housing can be privatized. According to the President, this will help retain human resources in rural areas and stimulate the attraction of young specialists.
The program is aimed at ensuring sustainable development of the forestry sector and retaining 35,000 industry workers.
More details about the implemented initiative can be found on the websites of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Agriculture.
