Lukashenko: we need better officers

During a recent press conference, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko noted that he sees military activities developing near the country and is aware of all its shortcomings. He stated: "We need to pay more serious attention to the training of officers. I don't want these shortcomings to be characteristic of our army. Special attitude and requirements – towards officers." According to the leader, a well-trained officer ensures the accomplishment of tasks by entire units, from platoons to divisions.
