Lukashenko approved Statkevich's transfer
Natalya Eismont, the president's press secretary, reported that Alexander Lukashenko approved the transfer of Nikolai Statkevich, sentenced to 14 years for opposition activities, from prison to a hospital following a stroke. Initially entrenched in the 'paradise garden,' Statkevich refused to enter the fifth segment, but now his health has deteriorated. According to the press secretary, the President decided to immediately transfer him to a medical facility, where a life-saving operation was performed. After relatives—his spouse and family—appealed, requesting permission for him to remain at home for care, Lukashenko agreed, and he is currently undergoing home treatment.
