Head of state Alexander Lukashenko signed an order appointing state grants to 42 specialists in the fields of science, education, healthcare, culture, and youth policy, aimed at implementing important socio-economic projects. According to the Belarusian government agency, the grants support initiatives based on their significance for economic sectors, practical application of results, economic impact, and public recognition. It was specifically noted that the appointments are intended to create innovative educational complexes, improve patient diagnosis and treatment, and develop the country's cultural and public life.

Grants from the head of state have been awarded annually since 2013 based on the results of an open competition.
