Lukashenko praises women at state awards ceremony
The president delivered greetings on the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day
At the state awards ceremony for women in Minsk, President Alexander Lukashenko delivered a thank-you address to the participants.
"Dear women! From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you and, through you, all Belarusian women on the upcoming holiday. Thank you for the invaluable contribution you have already made to our homeland," the head of state noted.
He also reassuringly assured men: "I assure you that we, men, are always ready to cherish, protect, help, support, and delight you. Tell us what else we should do to make you happier."
Context
The event is held as part of Defender of the Fatherland Day – an annual holiday in Belarus dedicated to women.
