The President received a report on the progress of combat readiness inspection

Head of state Alexei Lukashenko personally oversees the progress of a large-scale surprise check of the Armed Forces' combat readiness. On January 28, the president heard a report from Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich. The report detailed the specifics and interim results of the inspection, as well as an assessment of the fulfillment of assigned tasks by personnel, equipment, logistical support, and storage of material resources. Issues concerning troop accommodation and living conditions in difficult weather, as well as the availability of necessary uniforms, were clarified. The president particularly emphasized the importance of applying the experience of modern military conflicts to the specific conditions of Belarus's forested and swampy terrain. Following the inspection, which will continue until spring of the current year, a detailed analysis is planned to eliminate shortcomings and adjust efforts aimed at improving the Armed Forces and training personnel.
