Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko sharply criticized the organization of work on farms, paying special attention to the conditions in which calves are kept. Against the backdrop of the 'rough' conditions he observed — a thin layer of straw, ice, and snow — the head of state emphasized that 'laying down some straw on ice and putting the little ones there is not technology, it's a crime.' He noted that this is a 'small thing,' but reflects a 'heartless attitude toward living beings,' and stated that order in agricultural enterprises 'cannot exist in filth.' In particular, Lukashenko accused local farm managers of insufficient oversight and mentioned the need to 'fully implement the planned measures' and 'clean everything up' by September 17.
