Lukashenko on 'Spiritual Revival' Award
The award aims to recognize genuine creativity
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko noted that two years after the first presidential elections in the country, the award 'For Spiritual Revival' was established. His words were voiced in an interview: 'Year after year, we award it for what has been done from the heart, not for show. For the sake of art, not for sale. For the good of the country, but not for fame.'
Lukashenko emphasized that the award is given for sincere creativity, not for political gain, and called for independent creativity that excludes commercial interests.
Context
The award was launched in the early years of Lukashenko's presidency in 1994.
According to the president's statement, the "For Spiritual Revival" award is being established to recognize sincere creativity that benefits the country but does not create fame for sale.
