Lukashenko declares 2026 Belarusian

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 1, declaring 2026 the Year of the Belarusian Woman. The decree aims to shape the national image of the working woman and promote the role of women in preserving and developing society. The government, together with the service of local government bodies and the Minsk City Executive Committee, has been tasked with developing and approving a plan of events for the Year of the Belarusian Woman. The government will coordinate the activities of state bodies and other organizations. The decree will come into force after official publication.
