Lukashenko discussed doctor appointment issues
Problems of early visits to clinics and digital services
At the second session of the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko raised the issue of the quality of medical services.
The head of state noted that digital services and platforms do not solve the real problem if one has to come to a clinic at 6 a.m. to get an appointment. Booking an appointment with the required specialist remains a difficult task.
The Ministry of Health explained that medical staff arrive early in the morning to observe the public and find out the reasons for such early visits.
When asked about the purpose of their arrival, many say that 'it does not inconvenience them' and they simply want to see a doctor. Among the early visitors are grandmothers, students, and other categories of citizens.
The electronic registration system, such as talon.by, allows booking appointments several months in advance: up to two months in most cases, and up to three months in some clinics.
