Lukashenko discussed EAEU results
Five-year cycle showed GDP growth and unemployment
During his speech, President Alexander Lukashenko shared the results of Belarus's chairmanship in the EAEU. The country saw GDP growth of 11% from 2020 to 2024, industry grew by 15%, agriculture by 10%, and unemployment decreased from 6% to 3%. According to the president, in 2025 positive dynamics and income growth continue.
During the speech, the EAEU 2.0 action plan was signed, covering periods up to 2030 and 2045. Key objectives include industrial growth, technological development, new cooperation projects, and reduced import dependency in the agricultural sector. Development areas include expanding transport corridors, digitalization of freight transport, development of e-commerce and digital signatures, especially in public procurement.
The international aspect was highlighted by new agreements with the UAE and Mongolia, as well as Indonesia's accession to the partnership. Domestic policy focused on humanitarian areas: sports, tourism, education, and healthcare, aiming to provide comfortable conditions for citizens—free movement, document recognition, affordable healthcare, and communications.

The EAEU is an economic union established in 2015, comprising Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.
