Measures on defense and international cooperation were discussed
During the report, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko received a detailed briefing from the Chairman of the State Security Committee (KGB) Ivan Tertel. The report outlined current KGB tasks in intelligence and counterintelligence, as well as the domestic situation ahead of Christmas and New Year holidays. The President instructed security centers to maintain control over ongoing processes to ensure reliable protection.
Tertel highlighted intelligence activities in the Belarusian-American contact zone: pivotal steps in facilitating humanitarian issues related to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and new U.S. proposals for limited negotiated dialogue.
