Lukashenko pardons extremism suspect

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a decree granting clemency to Natalia Leva, who was convicted of extremist-related crimes. The decision was made on humanitarian grounds and taking into account the defendant's personal circumstances: she is pregnant. The statement notes that she personally appealed to the president with a petition for clemency, demonstrated active remorse, and exhibited good behavior during her sentence.
