Lukashenko proposed Logoisk - Minsk's satellite

A plan to connect Logoysk by railway line has been announced

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko proposed connecting the town of Logoysk to Minsk with a railway. He stated: "Regarding Logoysk, we say it is a satellite of Minsk. We need to lay some railway line... Something must be done. We need to stop all housing construction in Minsk and build housing in all these satellite towns. People can reach Minsk within 20-30 minutes. They work and then return home. But that's a separate conversation." Additionally, Lukashenko emphasized the need to clearly define areas where agrotowns will develop, stating: "I think we can stop here. We have identified where the agrotowns will be. Now we need to develop and build them."

This statement reflects the government's intention to strengthen transportation infrastructure and accelerate urbanization in border regions.

Summary:

Lukashenko proposed building a railway line connecting Logoysk with Minsk, as well as identifying sites for the development of agrarian towns.
