Lukashenko carried out tourism and utilities reforms

The president noted development and energy independence plans

President Alexander Lukashenko spoke about plans to develop the domestic tourism platform: tourism services need to be promoted more actively. Housing and communal services modernization will be carried out within the set tariff growth, while there will be no price jumps for the population. In Minsk, a housing construction limit will be introduced—no more than 300,000 units per year, along with development of satellite towns and satellite villages (planned 200 units). Leningrad needs to set a goal to increase Belarus's energy independence level by 2030—meanwhile, the constructed nuclear power plant has significantly strengthened energy independence. The president emphasized that Belarus is a 'clean country' and made this the first impression for guests. He called to respect people's labor and to abandon 'Singaporean methods.' He also pointed out the need to stop population outflow from regions and relieve the capital and regional centers, urging to solve these issues by 'revolutionary methods,' 'finally and without discussion.' He emphasized that villages are the foundation of our life and the state cannot exist without them.

Summary:

President Lukashenko presented plans for tourism development, housing and utilities modernization, housing construction, and increasing energy independence, while emphasizing the importance of villages and the need to stop population outflow.
