Lukashenko: agriculture slightly over 100%

President Alexander Lukashenko noted that in 2025 the overall agricultural output was slightly above 100%. He emphasized that the harvest turned out to be "good," and the work pace of agricultural organizations reached 102.7%. According to him, the focus on large-scale commodity farming proved generally correct: livestock production showed growth, and food exports reached a record $10 billion.

Nevertheless, Lukashenko acknowledged an "unacceptable situation" due to cattle mortality—145 thousand dead animals—and the chronic debt burden of agricultural organizations. He added that the goal of the current five-year plan is to make the agrarian sector a financially stable and profitable business. So far, "state support to cover losses amounted to 2.1 billion rubles," the head of state noted, "not to mention preferential loans and budgetary credits."
