Lukashenko: officer training is crucial
The president emphasized the need to strengthen officer training
President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, during a meeting with military leaders, emphasized the importance of enhancing officer training. He stated that Alexander Neverovskiy and Andrei Gorbatenko, appointed to new positions, will have to work during a difficult period caused by the seriousness of the tasks ahead.
Lukashenko noted that an unannounced inspection of the Armed Forces, carried out by his decision, revealed areas requiring intensive preparation. According to him, officer training is a priority task that needs to be addressed "for as long as it takes." The president also stressed that the call to strengthen training is part of the plans for further strengthening the army.
In the near future, the results of the inspection will be summarized, and government bodies will coordinate measures aimed at improving the readiness of military personnel.
Context
Recently, Belarus has been regularly conducting operational inspections and checks of the Armed Forces aimed at identifying gaps in training and equipment readiness.
