Lukashenko: Vitebsk needs crisis plan

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, speaking, stated the need to develop an anti-crisis plan for the Vitebsk region. He recalled that in October 2025, a large-scale meeting on the socio-economic development of the region took place. According to him, the situation in the region is deteriorating faster than in other regions, and managers were tasked with developing the plan in the shortest possible time.

Lukashenko noted that during the meeting, systemic problems were identified that had remained unresolved for over a year and had been passed from one governor to another. The head of state claimed that an immediate approach is necessary, which should yield results before the start of the next calendar year.
