During the May air defense and army exercises, the president demanded maximum realism: no artificial conditions, marches over any distances, loading of ammunition, simulating real enemy repulsion, setting up resistance nodes, and comprehensive support. Service members practiced a full range of tasks under conditions closely resembling combat. As a result, shortcomings and weak points in tactical headquarters and the officer corps were identified; all will be thoroughly analyzed and taken into account in future training.
