Over the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus completed work on eliminating the consequences of heavy snow and strong winds. Rescuers cleared access roads to 417 social facilities: 78 hospitals, 130 kindergartens, 62 schools, and 147 other institutions; removed snow from the roofs of 4 buildings; and pulled out 190 vehicles stuck in snowdrifts, distributed across regions (Brest – 13, Vitebsk – 5, Gomel – 12, Grodno – 17, Minsk region – 49, Mogilev – 68, Minsk city – 26). More than 100 units of equipment and 2,500 personnel were involved. According to rescuers, damage was recorded: in Vitebsk, the membrane of a football indoor facility broke due to snow sliding off, in Osipovichy district the roof of a cowshed partially collapsed, and in Bobruisk district the frame of a greenhouse was damaged. Public transport faced delays. Currently, there are no reported injuries. The Ministry of Emergency Situations continues monitoring the situation and remains ready for further actions.
