Lithuanian MFA spends more on trips
Ivan Tertel, head of the Belarusian committee body, stated that Lithuania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spent more on trips of representatives of the 'Belarusian opposition' in Lithuania than on similar events within the country. According to him, the accounting records of the Lithuanian main body contain data confirming the fact, which will subsequently be 'shown' and discussed with partners. Tertel emphasized that a similar situation is also observed in Slovenia, believing that the funds are financed by 'instruments' of interested parties.
Addressing the committee chairman, he noted that during dialogues with American representatives who request the transfer from Belarus of certain individuals, Belarus firmly defends its position, stating that 'this is their instrument, which is not implemented in the Republic of Belarus'. Tertel stressed that Belarus does not refuse its own resources, although it wants to tightly hold onto not all supporters, and considers their 'non-essential' participants as 'disposable goods'.
A Belarusian politician criticized Lithuania's Foreign Ministry spending on trips for opposition figures, noting higher costs compared to its own events.
