Minimum wage in 2026: 858 Br
Minimum wage will rise by 18.2%, basic rate will increase by 8.8%
Starting January 1, 2026, the minimum wage in Belarus will amount to 858 BYN, which is 132 BYN more than in January 2025 and 18.2% higher. The base rate will also increase, reaching 297 BYN as of January 1, 2026—8.8% higher than the previous year. These changes also apply to payments linked to the base rate. In the public sector, overall wage growth will reach at least 114% compared to 2025 levels. Pensions will increase by 14.5% throughout the year, with 31 billion BYN allocated for pension payments in 2026—5 billion BYN more than the previous year. Additionally, child benefits will also be raised, strengthening social support for families.
The government's response noted that all decisions are intended to ensure sustainable and noticeable growth in citizens' incomes, making people's well-being a strategic priority guiding all actions and decisions.
