Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Zoya Timatskaya, in a media interview spoke about plans to create an 'intellectual special forces' group — a team of students and teachers who will work on cutting-edge scientific and innovative projects. The goal of the program is to strengthen the country's scientific reputation and promote it on the international stage. President Alexander Lukashenko raised questions regarding the competence of university rectors and their involvement in developing project details. An official spokesperson confirmed that these issues will be discussed at the upcoming meeting of higher education leaders. The Ministry of Education's Telegram channel notes that the initiative should be seen as a continuation of efforts to improve the quality of scientific education.
