Minsk opens new bus plant

The president notes the growth of domestic car production and pharmaceuticals

According to the President of Belarus, hundreds of thousands of domestic vehicles are sold in the common market of the Union State, and certain models consistently top the sales charts. A new bus plant, 'MAZ,' has been built in Minsk, ready to produce up to three thousand comfortable modern-designed vehicles annually.

At the same time, authorities are increasing oil extraction and deepening raw material processing: they now produce petroleum coke and other oil products. The pharmaceutical industry is also developing—producing medicines for cancer patients, amino acids, and innovative bioproducts, with improved accessibility due to local manufacturing. The food industry has introduced unique dry infant formula mixes, lactose-free dairy products, premium cheeses, and meat delicacies.

"This is not a random success or the result of a single enterprise—it's the outcome of years of work by all Belarusians, from rural workers to scientists," the president added. He emphasized that quality goods, jobs, and confidence in their own abilities help strengthen the country's economy.
