Moscow residents come to Belarus for silence
Talk with an agro-ecotourism farm and a meeting of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly
In a recent conversation, I mentioned that I came across a talk with Muscovites at an agro-ecotourism farm. "Well, we're nearby, the climate is the same. Why did you come here? To rest, perhaps?" — I asked. One of the visitors replied: "We came for the quiet." This comment reflects a growing interest in peace and solitude in Belarus. At the same time, it was noted that today the second session of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly of the VII convocation took place, where issues of domestic policy and national development are being discussed.
Context
The All-Belarusian People's Assembly is the supreme legislative body in the country, which convenes every three years for new convocations to discuss important matters of state policy.
Muscovites come to Belarus in search of peace and quiet, the interview notes. At this time, the 7th All-Belarusian People's Assembly meeting was held.
