New rules for Fund contributions

This year, new rules for paying contributions to the Social Protection Fund of the Population come into force in Belarus. The changes affect all individual entrepreneurs, professional income tax payers, and several other categories. They will have to pay contributions for the past year in the near future — the payment deadline is expiring.

The changes are not fundamental, but they are important for ensuring future social and pension guarantees. In addition to the new rules, changes are also provided in the procedure for paying sick leave benefits. Details are presented in the official video program.

Context

Earlier, in 2015, laws on social payments establishing a basic contribution regime for businesses were adopted in the country.
