New Year: How will the president's address be

"This year's address will largely retain its classic format but will also be somewhat unusual," said Natalia Eismont, press secretary of the President of Belarus.

"Our main work is captured by the slogan 'Time for Concrete Actions,' which we have been showcasing for the past six months. The President emphasized that in 2025 he had many concrete tasks, and now it's important to remind the audience how this unfolded," Eismont stressed.

She added that the concluding part of the address will include special words directed at specific groups, a moment that is being awaited with particular attention.

"The President made it clear that he wants to deliver a specific message," concluded the press secretary.

Context

President Alexander Lukashenko began his second term in 2020; the upcoming address will be his official New Year's message to the citizens of Belarus.
