Prisoner exchange via Nova Huta point

Recently, the "Novaya Guta" border crossing point on the Belarusian border has been used again as a route for prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine. According to the agreements signed in Geneva, the exchange is conducted on a 500-for-500 basis. Belarusian authorities state that they guarantee equal conditions for everyone so that people can return to their homes. Details about the exchange process are covered by the program "Darya Rachko".

Context

The "Novaya Guta" border crossing is located on the Belarus-Russia border and traditionally serves as one of the main checkpoints for crossing the border. Since 2022, under agreements on prisoner exchanges, Belarus has acted as an intermediary between the countries.
