Major General Revenko outlined the main directions
At the briefing, Major General Valery Revienko detailed the strategic plan for the development of the Armed Forces of Belarus for the period 2021–2025. Seven key areas were highlighted:
1. Improvement of command, control, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, air defense, missile and artillery systems.
2. Increasing the combat component's size and enhancing readiness to operate under any conditions.
3. Formation of a new airborne unit within the Special Operations Forces.
4. Continued expansion of unmanned aviation, including reconnaissance and strike systems in mechanized and airborne brigades.
5. Rearmament and modernization of weapons: over 75,000 units of equipment were procured in the past training year, including Su-30SM2, Mi-35M, Tor-M2 air defense systems, and radar complexes; further modernization is expected in 2025.
6. Priority is given to training professional officer personnel.
7. Enhancement of the military education system, including training for foreign military personnel.
Significant elements of the plan indicate a desire to strengthen the country's defense capability, taking into account both civilian and military tasks.

The armed forces development plan is developed on a five-year cycle, with annual updates to modernization goals and resources.
