10 employees awarded by the President
By the decree of the President, the Head of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee's Department of Internal Affairs, Major General of Militia Alexander Shastaylo, was awarded the III degree of the 'For Service to the Motherland' award. Four employees received the 'For Distinction in the Protection of Public Order' medal, including Senior Warrant Officer of Militia Sergey Druzhakov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Commander of Internal Troops, Major General Nikolai Karpenkov, Head of the Department of Execution of Sentences of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Major General of Militia Oleg Matkin, and Colonel of Militia Sergey Ushakov from Minsk. The 'For Impeccable Service' medal of the I degree was awarded to Colonel of Militia Sergey Babich and Colonel of Militia Alexander Ringevich. Two officers received the II degree medal, including Lieutenant Colonel of Militia Oleg Veche and Colonel of Militia Yegor Parchuk. Finally, Senior Operational Police Major of Militia Alexander Ivashko was awarded the III degree medal.

Police Day is celebrated in Belarus on December 12. On this day, law enforcement officers are traditionally awarded for outstanding merits.
