Battalion prep: control exercises

The State Secretariat of the Security Council of Belarus continues the verification of the combat readiness of the Armed Forces. The assessment of the physical fitness of the personnel of a separate mechanized battalion is part of a large-scale inspection.

Sergei Brezinsky, Deputy Head of the Military Security Department of the State Secretariat, reported that by order of the President of Belarus, two physical standards have been included in the control exercises: pull-ups on the bar for strength and a 5 km march in formation for endurance. The goal is to assess the level of physical fitness of military personnel.

Brezinsky noted that 100% of the personnel are involved in the exercises, and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces—the President—pays special attention to physical training, which he considers essential for the combat effectiveness of the Armed Forces under tense conditions. Therefore, the most difficult standards have been selected.
