President's awards for spiritual revival
On December 19, 2023, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko awarded the prizes "For Spiritual Revival" and special honors to cultural and art figures. According to signed decrees, five prizes in 2025 will be presented "For Spiritual Revival" for active work in the humanitarian sphere, contributing to strengthening the spiritual values and moral traditions of the Belarusian people, as well as patriotic education of youth.
The collective of the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service of the Belarusian Orthodox Church received the award for developing new forms of the church's social service and significant contribution to pastoral care. OJSC "Bel-restoration" was recognized for preserving and reviving Belarus's historical and cultural heritage.
The creative team led by the Youth Theater of Estrada's director Vladislava Artiukhovskaya and songwriter Anna Lukashenko was awarded a high honor for their contribution to preserving historical memory, strengthening spiritual values, and implementing the patriotic project "Every Third".
The creative team of the National State Television and Radio Company, including NSTRC Chairman Ivan Eismont, head of the "First Information" broadcast Gleb Gorbatko, and deputy head Olga Makei, was awarded for creating the documentary-analytical film cycle "Time Has Chosen Us".
Major of Militsiya Viktor Shipkov, senior precinct inspector of the Gomel District Executive Committee, was honored for his personal contribution to reviving folk art, conducting ethnographic research, and reconstructing traditional festive costumes of the southeastern part of Gomel District.
Context
The "For Spiritual Revival" prize was established in 2011 and is held annually as part of the "President of Belarus Prizes" program.
In December 2023, the President of Belarus awarded prizes for spiritual revival to numerous groups and individuals, recognizing their contributions to culture and humanitarian activities.
