President: 15% growth in large families

The President of Belarus noted that over the past five years, the number of large families in the country has increased by 15%. According to him, today more than 120,000 families are raising three or more children. He emphasized the bright tradition of family cohesion in the Brest region, where support for large families is especially strong. As a vivid example, he cited a family couple from the Minsk region who have 14 children—the record holders in terms of number of offspring. The President urged those whose health permits to follow the example of such families. He expressed confidence that the state will support such families, even if the path to them is difficult. In his opinion, family values are a continuation of the Belarusian people and their future.
