New appointments in key committees
On February 20, the President of the Republic of Belarus signed a decree updating the composition of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission, the Commission on Pardons and Release from Criminal Liability, and the Commission for Considering Citizens' Appeals on Committing Offenses. According to the decree, the membership of these collegial bodies has been changed due to previous personnel appointments made in the Constitutional Court, the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Investigative Committee, and the Ministry of Health, as well as the need to clarify certain positions of members of these commissions.
Context
Previously, personnel appointments were made in these bodies, which required a revision of the commissions' composition.
The President of Belarus has updated the composition of several key committees, including the Higher Attestation Commission, the Pardon and Exemption from Liability Commission, and the Commission for Reviewing Citizens' Appeals. The changes are due to new appointments in the Constitutional Court, the Prosecutor's Office, the Investigative Committee, and healthcare.
