President notes growth in large families

During the state awards ceremony, the country's president noted that over the past five years, the number of large families in Belarus has increased by 15%. He emphasized that currently 120,000 families have three or more children and called for following the example of 'heroic' families with up to 10 children. Among the record holders is a family from the Minsk region with 14 children. The president noted that such families are particularly common in the Brest region. He stated that the state will support parents who, if their health permits, have a second and third child, and stressed that a true family is the continuation not only of a surname but of the entire Belarusian people.
