President explained salary payment measures
President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko made comments on the draft Decree regarding the guarantee of payment of remuneration for work performed. In his speech, he noted, "It would seem that the country has established a clear system through which everyone receives payment for their labor. And if we have promised something but failed to pay, where should a person go, how can they protect their interests? They are forced to go to court, find money for it, take time away from their family, children, spend time, nerves, and so on." The initiatives submitted to the Parliament provide for strengthening liability measures for non-payment of wages and are closely linked to the proposed Decree, establishing a legal basis and specific control mechanisms. According to Lukashenko, it is precisely this approach that will help create a fairer system for protecting citizens' labor rights.
