Innovation priorities in Belarus
Aircraft manufacturing, shipbuilding, biomedicine
Belarusian Education Minister Andrei Ivanets clarified in an interview the areas where breakthrough technologies need development today. According to him, aircraft and shipbuilding are considered key areas, while biomedical applications in terms of biotechnological safety are among the priorities. He noted that specialists proposed to the Head of State for training at the new educational center have received these areas as their main tasks.
Context
This statement follows Belarus's efforts to increase its industrial self-reliance and strengthen the science and education infrastructure in critically important sectors.
The Ministry of Education has identified three key innovation areas: aircraft manufacturing, shipbuilding, and biomedical technologies. Specialists will be trained in a new educational center on these topics.
