Sergei Husachenko received the Skaryna Medal
Five journalists received honorary titles
During the ceremony organized by the National State Television and Radio Company (NGTRK), Sergei Gusachenko – First Deputy Chairman of NGTRK, and Olga Shpilevskaya – Director of the branch of the Inter-State Television and Radio Company 'Mir' in Belarus – were awarded the Medal of Francysk Skaryna. By the decree of the President, they were granted honorary titles of the Republic of Belarus.
Among additional awards, Dmitry Zhuk, Director and Chief Editor of the publishing house 'Belarus Segodnya', received the title of 'Honored Worker of Mass Media'. The President also expressed gratitude to five media workers: Anton Vasyukevich, General Producer of Belarusian Radio; Maxim Vecheckov, Correspondent of the second national TV channel 'Vtoroy Natsionalny Kanal'; Natalia Gorokhovik, Chief Director of the 'Pervyy Informatsionny Kanal' TV channel; Yevgeny Pustovoy, Political Observer of 'Stolichnoye Televideniye'; Irina Yegorshina, Head of the Photo Information Processing Unit at BELTA.
Context
The Medal of Francysk Skaryna is a state award of Belarus for significant contributions to the development of mass media.
At the NTRC ceremony, the Francis Skorina medal and honorary titles were awarded to several journalists and media leaders.
