Police rescued a young man from icy water

In the Vitebsk district, around 4 a.m., police officer Yevgeny Gayshun from the Oktyabrsky division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Protection Department noticed a man on the opposite bank of the Vitba River trying to pull another person out of the water. The officer immediately reported the incident to the operational control service, rescuers, and medical personnel. Within minutes, officers from the detention unit of the department—Sergei Pasmurchev and Mikhail Kibarov—arrived at the scene. Together, they rescued an 18-year-old man from the icy water who was in a state of severe alcohol intoxication. After being pulled out, he was handed over to an emergency medical team; currently, the young man's life is not in danger.
