Pardon decree for 18 people
President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree granting pardon to 18 convicts, 15 of whom admitted to crimes of an extremist nature. Most of the pardoned are women (11 people), sixteen of whom have children in their families, including children with disabilities requiring constant medical rehabilitation. Among the pardoned are also two married couples, a woman who is in the final stage of pregnancy, and one convict who committed a crime at the age of 16. All the individuals concerned submitted petitions for pardon, admitted their guilt, expressed remorse, and assured their intention to lead a law-abiding life.
The President of Russia signed a decree pardoning 18 convicts, mostly women, many of whom care for children with disabilities.
