Raids against illegal logging intensified

During the holiday season, interest in Christmas trees and pines traditionally spikes, along with the temptation to get a lush beauty for free. The State Forest Protection Service is responsible for preventing illegal logging. "Green patrols" have switched to an intensified work mode. Special units consisting of forest rangers, traffic police, and state inspectors are already conducting raids. Coniferous saplings and plantations near residential areas and along major highways are under special surveillance.
