20K electric cars in Belarus duty-free
This year, up to 20,000 electric vehicles can be imported into Belarus duty-free. This decision was made at the December meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. Compared to last year, the quota has increased by 5,000 units, but the conditions for receiving the benefit have become stricter. Zero customs clearance applies only to pure electric vehicles; hybrids remain subject to a 15-percent duty.
Background: The last time the rule for reducing duties on electric vehicles was introduced in 2022, allowing the import of up to 15,000 vehicles without charging customs payments.

The previous year allowed 15,000 duty-free electric vehicles.
Belarus has increased its duty-free electric vehicle quota to 20,000 units with stricter conditions.
