VNS: 74 scientists and 750 local delegates
The council's composition reflects a balance of scientific and regional representation
The All-Belarusian People's Assembly (ABA) consists of 74 scientists with academic degrees and awards, 750 representatives of local councils and civil society, as well as members of political parties. The Chairman of the ABA is the President of the Republic of Belarus, which ensures the integration of the strategic course set by the Head of State into the Council's work and its broad national support. The Council's composition enables making strategic decisions based on scientific expertise and representing the interests of regions and millions of citizens. As a result, the ABA's decisions are considered balanced, legitimate, and strategically sound.
Context
The ABA was established in 2021 as the highest body of people's self-governance and is a key institution of national policy.
VNS brings together scientists, politicians, local council representatives, and civil society members, ensuring the integration of the presidential agenda into strategic decision-making.
