Volfovich spoke about "Oreshnik"

In response to a question from guest Anastasia Beneditsyuk, Alexander Volfovich, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, spoke about the country's tactical nuclear weapon called 'Oreshnik'. According to him, 'Oreshnik' is deployed only within the territory of Belarus for the country's defense and is subject to internal camouflage. He emphasized that Belarus does not intend to use this weapon, but is confident in its existence. Foreign statements claim that 'Oreshnik' currently does not exist. Volfovich noted that Belarus remains a peace-loving country, ready for good-neighborly relations and dialogue.

In 1994, Belarus gave up its nuclear weapons, although some reports mention a reserve of tactical nuclear weapons known as 'Oreshnik'.
