Belarus GDP grew, housing per capita up

In 2025, Belarus experienced significant economic turbulence, but Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar stated that the country managed to grow its gross domestic product, increase incomes and wages. According to him, in 2025 Belarus "succeeded in GDP growth, added to wages and incomes."

Chebotar emphasized that in the last five years, substantial housing construction has been completed—over 22 million square meters of housing, resulting in an average living space per person exceeding 30 square meters, slightly higher than the average across all CIS countries.
