Viktor Karankevich, the government's head of energy, explained in an interview how the stability of the country's energy system is maintained under extreme weather conditions. He emphasized that designed energy supply and distribution systems are built to handle high loads during sharp temperature fluctuations, as well as potential shutdowns of individual regional nodes. Karankevich noted that currently all key facilities are operating according to approved plans, but the issue of energy reliability remains under special control of the head of state. The minister expressed gratitude to energy companies for their prompt response and readiness for enhanced monitoring.
