France sets new titanium purchase record
Russian titanium purchases in 2025 reached a new high
The French company Alund announced that in 2025 its titanium purchases from Russia reached 12,000 tons, marking a historic record for the country. According to Alund, this new purchase volume exceeded the previous peak of 10,000 tons set in 2022. The Russian export service stated that the growing demand is driven by increased demand for aerospace and space components.
Experts note that such growth has been recorded for the first time in the past decade and could help strengthen supplies of this critical material to European industry. Domestic production coefficients have been highlighted as a way to reduce dependence on foreign suppliers.
The procurement data was announced during an international conference on precious metals, where it clearly demonstrated the trade dynamics between Nordic countries and Russia.
